About Me.
I am currently a Computational & Systems Biology PhD candidate in the laboratory of Gautam Dantas in the Center for Genome Sciences and Systems Biology at Washington University School of Medicine.
I am studying the resilency of the human gut microbiota to antibiotic therapy and colonization resistance of new microbes in and established gut microbiota community using a combination of computational and experimental techniques. Read more about my research.
I am excited about science education and outreach and am an active leader of The Young Scientist Program at Washington University.
When I'm not in lab, I enjoy going for runs with my dogs, playing ultimate frisbee or exploring new spots in Saint Louis. I also love hosting events and believe that if I wasn't passionate about science, I would be planning weddings. My retirement dream (do scientists retire?) is to own a winery and enjoy good wine and good company.
